Jane Bowling-Wilson

Executive director

Jane Bowling-Wilson was selected as the Executive Director to Northern Piedmont Community Foundation (NPCF) in 2015. Before joining Northern Piedmont Community Foundation in 2015 as Executive Director, Jane was the Executive Director (2011-2015) for the Headwaters Foundation, an educational nonprofit that supports opportunities for children in Rappahannock County.

Prior to nonprofit work, Jane was a freelance art director/designer for several direct mail companies and specialized in children’s toy and apparel catalogs.  Previous to this, she was a creative director and graphic designer for direct mail companies. 

Jane’s career path began in education where she taught high school English, art and photography.  She was chair of the Fine Arts Department in a public school in VA and was instrumental in founding a 5-county fine art summer and after-school enrichment program based out of Shenandoah University.    

She has a BA degree from University of Mary Washington in fine arts with a minor in education.  She completed course work for a degree in English shortly after graduation.  She finished her graphic arts training through the Corcoran School of Art open program in Washington D.C.
